ESEGAS Unveils New FTIR-based Soil Greenhouse Gas Monitoring System

ESEGAS today launched its latest environmental monitoring innovation, the ESE-FT600P Soil Greenhouse Gas Monitoring System. The company designed this system for precise quantification of soil greenhouse gas fluxes in field and laboratory sites. The ESE-FT600 supports Soil Environmental Gas Emission Monitoring and Gas Pollutant Source Emission Monitoring.

The Soil Greenhouse Gas Monitoring System combines a portable FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) gas analyzer with an automated flux chamber. The chamber captures greenhouse gases directly from the soil surface under controlled conditions. The system then transfers the sample gas to the FTIR analyzer for real-time concentration measurement. The software calculates gas flux automatically based on concentration change over time.

The analyzer measures CO₂, CH₄, CO, NH₃, H₂O, and N₂O, along with other trace gases. ESEGAS developed the interferometer in-house to ensure optical stability and simplified maintenance. The system delivers high measurement accuracy, minimal drift, and fast response times. Its advanced stoichiometric algorithm eliminates cross-interference from H₂O and CO₂, which often affects field measurements.

A built-in long-path White cell enhances sensitivity and supports precise soil greenhouse gas calibration work. The instrument remains lightweight and easy to operate, with a short warm-up time for rapid deployment between sampling sites. Its modular architecture allows straightforward servicing in both laboratory and field conditions. Users can also select an optional high-precision gas splitter to improve sampling speed, accuracy, and overall analytical efficiency when measuring soil gas parameters.

ESEGAS engineers built the ESE-FT600P around proven gas analysis principles and industry-grade sensors. The product integrates with common atmospheric research tools and supports cloud-based data transmission. Researchers can validate soil carbon models, detect emission hotspots, and optimize mitigation strategies. The ESEGAS strongly supports research on greenhouse gas emissions.
