IR-GAS-600 Hydrogen (H₂) Analyzer for Industrial Gas Measurement

IR-GAS-600 Hydrogen (H₂) Analyzer for Industrial Gas Measurement

IR-GAS-600 Hydrogen (H₂) Analyzer for Industrial Gas Measurement

Introduction

Accurate H₂ measurement (multi-gas mixtures) from ppm to % in syngas, hydrogen production, heat treatment and industrial process gases.

Measured Gas: H₂

Technologies: TCD.

Measuring Principle

The hydrogen (H₂) analyzer uses a Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) to measure hydrogen concentrations in five-gas mixtures. The TCD measurement principle is based on the difference in thermal conductivity between hydrogen and the other gases in the sample. Hydrogen has a particularly high thermal conductivity, making it suitable for TCD-based measurement.

Key Features

  • Five-gas mixture measurement: Designed to measure hydrogen in gas mixtures containing O₂, CO, CO₂, CH₄, and H₂.
  • TCD-based hydrogen measurement: Uses the difference in thermal conductivity between hydrogen and other gases to determine H₂ concentration.
  • Wide H₂ measurement range: Supports hydrogen measurement from ppm levels to percentage concentrations, depending on the configured application and range.
  • Accurate H₂ calculation: Measurement and correction methods help ensure that the analyzer uses the correct settings to calculate hydrogen concentrations within complex gas mixtures.
  • High thermal conductivity sensitivity: Hydrogen has a particularly high thermal conductivity, providing a strong basis for TCD measurement.
  • Reference and sample gas comparison: The TCD compares the thermal conductivity response of the sample gas with a reference condition to determine changes caused by hydrogen.
  • Electrical signal conversion: Changes in the thermal conductivity of the sample gas are converted into an electrical signal and correlated with H₂ concentration.
  • Non-reactive measurement principle: TCD measurement is based on the physical thermal conductivity properties of the gas rather than a chemical reaction. This principle is widely used for continuous hydrogen measurement.
  • Industrial gas analysis: Suitable for applications requiring accurate hydrogen measurement in multi-component process gas mixtures.
