IR-GAS-400H Portable Biogas Analyzer for CH₄, CO₂, H₂S, O₂, H₂ & CO Measurement

IR-GAS-400H Portable Biogas Analyzer for CH₄, CO₂, H₂S, O₂, H₂ & CO Measurement

Introduction

Six-Gas Analysis for Biogas Production, Anaerobic Digestion and Landfill Monitoring.

Measured Gas: CH₄ | CO₂ | H₂S | O₂ | (H₂ & CO optional)

Technology: NDIR | Electrochemical (EC) Sensor | (TCD optional)

Configurations: Handhold

Principle

  1. Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) Measurement In portable biogas analyzer, it uses NDIR technology to measure methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂), two of the main components of biogas. Gas molecules such as CH₄ and CO₂ absorb infrared radiation at characteristic wavelengths. Inside the analyzer, infrared light passes through a gas measurement chamber. The detector measures the transmitted infrared intensity, and the analyzer determines the concentration of each target gas based on its infrared absorption characteristics.
  2. Electrochemical Gas Measurement In portable biogas analyzer, it uses Electrochemical sensors for hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), oxygen (O₂) and other supported gas channels according to the analyzer configuration. For H₂S measurement, gas molecules diffuse through a membrane into an electrochemical sensing cell, where a chemical reaction generates an electrical current proportional to the gas concentration. It uses an appropriate electrochemical oxygen sensor to measure Oxygen. The EC sensor allows operators to identify changes in O₂ concentration that may indicate air ingress or changes in process conditions.
