At the Korea Automotive Engine Research Institute, a study on improving vehicle emission efficiency is in full swing. In order to better understand and control the content of ammonia (NH3) in automobile exhaust, researchers decided to introduce a new portable ammonia gas analyzer.

This ammonia gas analyzer has a wide measuring range, from 0 to 1000ppm, providing researchers with more accurate data. The advantages of this new portable ammonia analyzer are clear compared to previously used analytical instruments.

Engineer first carefully calibrated the analyzer to ensure it would provide accurate measurements after the analytical equipment arrived. connected the gas analyzer to a vehicle emissions testing system in the lab and began conducting experiments.

By testing cars under different loads and working conditions, engineer successfully measured the ammonia content and recorded the data. He found that in some cases, levels of ammonia were significantly higher, which could adversely affect air quality. compared these data with measurements of other emissions and came to some valuable conclusions. Engineer made some suggestions, including adjusting the operating parameters of the SCR system to reduce ammonia emissions and optimize the vehicle’s emissions efficiency.
